Role: Developer
Reports To: Group IT – Senior Practice Manager
Overall Job Purpose:
This role is based in India with possible hybrid working in Chennai Office. It includes regular interaction with other geographically located teams.
Has to works on Java Development for IT e-Commerce Application and also provide support for applications used by Direct Wines global business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Development and implementing build, deployment.
• Use the industry best practice for code development and code fixing in production systems.
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology.
• Working closely with our other IT for problem resolution.
• Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems.
• Organize the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, acting proactively.
• Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with the help of developers.
• Maintains and supports IT technology standard requirements, methodology and processes.
Qualifications:
Essential
• Preferable degree in Engineering, Technology or Computer Science or related field, otherwise other equivalent qualifications or relative work experience.
Desirable
• Other professional IT qualifications would be an advantage.
Experience:
Essential (3+ Years of IT experience)
• Candidate should have Strong Java and J2ee Skills, or inclination towards the world of Java.
• Some Basic Knowledge on RDBMS such as Oracle or MySQL etc
• Experience or Knowledge in Application (J2ee) building would be great.
• Should have worked on tools such as Eclipse , Ant etc .
• Should have inclination towards Java & J2ee Programming.
• Should be flexible to work out of office hours if needed.
Desirable
• Working knowledge of automation scripting such as Powershell, Python, BASH
• Should have worked on assignments with international companies.
