Redgrape Business Services was set up in Chennai to provide technology consulting and software services to Direct Wines. It was a strategic move for Direct Wines to transition from an outsourced offshore model to a self sufficient Global In-house Centre (GIC) model, one that paid off well.

Having completed the transition and moved into the steady state phase of operations, we look back and realize that our journey has been one rich learning experience – may it be choosing a location in India, finding your own office space, recruitment, local services, campus recruitment for graduates, collaborating with the rest of the group companies, running a fully fledged operation out of Chennai including statutory compliance and associated reporting or finding a suitable partner to help land our venture.
